Dallas Housemaids Gives a Helping Hand Amidst the Coronavirus Pandemic

Dallas Housemaids took a day to donate their time in sorting food for the North Texas Food Bank.

People are heading to grocery stores to fill their pantries in the event they have to stay home for long periods of time as the Coronavirus spreads throughout the region. But for those who don’t have that ability, non-profits and food banks are stepping up to help fill the void.

Our Dallas Housemaids Team has taken a step to help pack meals at the North Texas Food Bank Plano (NTFB) facility as they expect an increased need in the coming weeks and months. As school districts take precaution by closing campuses, there are many families who rely on school meals for their children and are wondering how they will be able to eat during the long break.

Today, Dallas Housemaids assisted NTFB's Food 4 Kids program by packing over 3,500 meals for children in North Texas! For many who do not know, 1 in 4 children in North Texas are fighting hunger but food banks and pantries like NTFB are here to help those in dire need. The North Texas Food Bank has been serving 13 counties in North Texas for years and have been through many crucial situations. They are preparing for the worst case scenario including the possibility that many will lose wages, jobs, or unable to leave their homes.

NTFB is taking every precaution to ensure their staff and volunteers have a safe and healthy volunteering experience by increasing their cleaning efforts and sanitation methods.

Thank you NTFB for this opportunity. The Dallas Housemaids team is glad to contribute our time to something meaningful that will help many North Texas families.

The North Texas Food Bank is always in need for volunteers and donations. Please visit their website at https://ntfb.org/ for more information on how you can help.
